Moonclan Camp

Pebblecreek started to snarl back at Glowheart, to show his disapproval at her outburst to his mate, but Pearlblaze stopped him. She stared coolly back at Glowheart. "Obviously, the medicine cat knows best, as my mate just reminded me. If you eavesdropped on my comment, didn't you hear his? When was it a crime to say opinions out loud? It's not like I commanded you to take an apprentice." She almost winced at being so nasty, but Glowheart wasn't the only tired one. They all were, but the medicine cat just had to be the one to show her crankiness.

Rosefeather awkwardly waited for her leader's reply, hearing the argument that was going on between Pearlblaze and Glowheart.

"You two, stop it. Right now. there is no time to argue like kits." Fallenstar snarled. "Glowheart, you need to tell Rosefeather the basics of healing a warrior. She is a warrior, she is intelligent, and it wont be like training an apprentice. It is important for her to learn right away. I myself have very basic knowledge of how to heal certain wounds, and the wounds I can heal, I will help do so." She said gravely.

Pearlblaze bowed her head in respect and apology. "Sorry, Glowheart," she mewed. Pebblecreek frowned. "Is it the ki-" he started to mew before Pearlblaze cut him off. "Not now," she meowed. They settled down to listen to the rest of the meeting.

Rosefeather was glad MoonClan had such a fair and wise leader. She wondered what Fallenstar had ever done to make cats revolt, and doubted that there every was any concrete reason. Her paws tingled with excitement at the leader's command. I'm going to heal cats! she thought. She decided that was far more helpful than hurting more cats, but knew a clan couldn't keep its territory if everyone was just a medicine cat.

Fallenstar's silver fur waved in the softly flowing air, and her ice blue eyes tiredly looked around. "Glowheart, take Rosefeather and teach her what i told you to. Now for you warriors. Double the patrols. Aquafur is sneaky though, we need to have at LEAST four warriors at the camp at all times, not including myself and our deputy. Training will now be held in doubletime, but here in camp. Hunting patrols will double as borderpatrols and go throughout the day, four patrols each day of about four cats. if a patrol runs into an enemy, my orders are, if you are unnoticed, return to camp. Do not instigate any battles. if you are attacked, show no mercy. Debilitate the enemy and return to camp to report, no questions asked. Is that clear." Fallenstar ordered, face stony blank, a ruthless glint appeared in her eyes, bordering the desperation to protect her clan.

Lunapaw shivered slightly, despite it being so warm. She was worried. Very worried.

Brightkit wandered out of the medicine den, her mother not knowing where she was, and blinked in the bright light. She looked quizzically at the group of warriors and medicine cats gathered around Fallenstar. She spied Lightningclaw, and walked over to him. She sat down and listened, but didnt pay much attention to the plans. Brightkit saw Glowheart and Darkpaw sitting over at the other side, and walked over to them. "H-hello," she mewed quietly.

Fallenstar looked down at the kit and sighed, closing her eyes and tilting her head up to the sky. "For the love of..." She grumbled under her breath. "Brightkit, please go back to the nursery. We are having a meeting right now." She said, not changing her position.

OOC-Is Bright going to be the medicine cat? Right, right?

Fallenstar quickly had an idea and she looked down at the kit. "Brightkit, how do you like the forest?" She questioned urgently.

Brightkit stared shyly at Fallenstar, trying not to look at his face. "I-its okay," she mewed.

ic: Fallenstar quickly said, "Okay, or do you know it well? And how are you at memorizing?" She said quickly, speeding up the process of her search for medicine cat apprentices. This process was usually done secretly, but there was no time.

OOC-LOL! They are basically saying "Hey, Brightkit, want to be a medicine cat?"

ooc: i love it

ic: Brightkit nodded. "I think i'm okay around it i suppose...." she ventured. "I'm okay at memorising i suppose, but i can tell the herbs and stuff just from smelling them!" She puffed her chest out in pride

Pearlblaze purred. Pebblecreek agreed, bemused at how straightforward the questions were. It would be no question as to who would be trained as a medicine cat next.

Rosefeather wondered why Fallenstar was asking Brightkit questions. (ooc: not as perceptive )

"And how old are you right about now?" Fallenstar finished, more relaxed knowing she picked the right kit.

ooc: UMMMM *stressing* she was born like, almost 3 pages ago... i'm just gonna say that she's 4 moons

ic: Brightkit frowned. "I'm 4 moons now. Is that a problem?"

ooc: LOL Rosefeather

ooc: Hey guys, does Moonclan have a deputy to takeover after Fallen dies? cuz i have the perfect cat for it, i'll post the decrip soon , her name is Everclear/Everstar eventually (maybe)

ic: Fallenstar grinned. "Nope. Just about apprentice age." She leapt up onto the Quartzrock and yowled, "Cats of Moonclan, one of our kits is to be medicine kit. Please gather for Brightkit's apprentice ceremony!"

ooc: LOL underage apprentices! It's like the time of Brokenstar all over again! XD

ic: Rosefeather was confused at how Fallenstar had gone from random questions to making Brightkit an apprentice (ooc: XD), but nevertheless, she was happy about it.

Pearlblaze wondered what Glowheart's reaction would be after the medicine cat had been so anti-apprentice, and now Fallenstar was giving her one.

ooc: wait, doesnt that mean that Swiftkit and Amberkit become apprentices too?

Brightkit stared openly at Fallenstar. Wow, she thought. I can really become a medicine cat? THIS IS AWESOME!!! She mentallly jumped for joy. Pearldapple rushed out of the nursery after hearing Fallenstar's call, and raced towards her daughter. "You are becoming a medicine cat apprentice? Thats great news!" she said, quickly grooming Brightkit. The kit ducked away and smiled at her mother. "I'll be fine," she promised, the pride of becoming an apprentice already puffing her chest. Swiftkit and Amberkit padded over to their sister and congratulated her. Lightningclaw just sat where he was, his mouth gaping.

ooc: OCEAN! GO ON CHATbOX!

Hurricanepaw shot up when she heard the announcement. "What? WHAT? WHAT?!" Blackpaw slapped her on her head with his tail. He ignored her angry hisses as he headed toward Fallenstar for the ceremony.
Runatune blinked. That was... Weird. She shrugged as she settled down to look at the ceremony.

For Swfit & Amber, I think no, cause Bright was a special case & they kinda needed another med cat. So they will still need to wait
Oh, btw, Glowheart has an apprentice, Darkpaw, so um I think that Dark should be sped up to full med cat so Glow can teach Bright. Know what I mean?

IC-Lunapaw was surprised. Brightkit was becoming an apprentice? Alreay? But she guessed in times of war, the warrior code was bended a little. Plus, they could use another medicine cat!

OOC-Btw, is Rosefeather becowing a medicine cat, too? Lol, medicine cats can be so confusing!

"Desperate times call for desperate measures. Rosefeather, a warrior of our own, will become a war-time medicince cat. She will be taught solely in the art of healing wounds and battle-injuries. Rosefeather, step forward." Fallenstar called out.

Rosefeather stepped forward. She wondered if she was really needed, now that Brightkit was becoming a medicine cat apprentice, but guessed that they would need all the healing they could get.

OOC-What did I just say Nova? I can't go on the Chatbox because I am using my IPod to post and it won't let me on the Chatbox!

IC- Well that was suprising, thought Lunapaw. She wondered though if Rosefeather would really stay medicine cat for just the civil war or if she would continue on afterwards. Rosefeather would be a good medicine cat either...though, she isn't very smart. (lol) Lunapaw actually wondered if there had ever even been a bad medicine cat!

ic: Glowheart sighed and calmed herself down. She was getting too cranky about everything. She beckoned toward Rosefeather and Brightkit. "Come on and we'll start," she mewed in the brightest voice she could. Inside the den she checked Rippleclaw again. "Darkpaw, would you try to wake Rippleclaw?" she called.

Firebird stood up with Snowbird. "Snowbird, Whirlwind, Eaglescar, and Maple--" he broke off, forgetting that Maplesong was on the other side. "Errm, just Snowbird, Whirlwind, and I, I guess," he muttered.

Rosefeather nodded and shyly followed Glowheart. She felt awkward about the whole apprentice thing because she knew how busy Glowheart was going to be. However. it didn't dull her excitement.

Brightkit followed Glowheart dumbfoundedly, her mouth still half open.

"Brightkit will also be a medicine cat apprentice. I myself am holding what are to be called Master training lessons, where all apprentices are gathered in the camp to be taught by myself and our deputy."
Fallenstar continued.

Pebblecreek and Pearlblaze waited for Fallenstar to give the warriors their assignments.

"I want all apprentices and their mentors here for a Master training lesson, and remaining warriors on a full border patrol. Everclear, You may organize the patrols." And with that, Fallenstar leapt down from quartzrock to join her clan.

Rubypaw walked to Fallenstar. She tiptoed up to the leader, whispering, "Uh, Fallenstar, Wolfcry is my mentor, but he's....missing. Should I just be without a mentor for now?"

Pebblecreek padded over to the Quartzcliff, as he had an apprentice: Mistpaw.

Pearlblaze, on the other hand, did not have an apprentice (ooc: I think). She mewed good-bye to her mate as they went seperate ways, and she herself went to the deputy to be assigned to a patrol.

Fallenstar and Everclear quickly conversed. "Pearlblaze, you will mentor Rubypaw for now." Fallenstar then returned back up to the Quartzrock. "So who are our pairs?" She asked.

Brightkit still wore a bemused expression on her face as Glowheart led her to the medicine den.

Lightningclaw stood up his shoulder muscles rippling with strength. He wondered if he should follow Fallenstar to the apprentices and mentors training session because he had no apprentice of his own.

[just realised i dont think Ripplepaw has a mentor...... !]

ooc: Did you recently make Ripplepaw? Well, I think his mentor is Violetflower.

ic: Pearlblaze greeted her new apprentice, Rubypaw. "Pearlblaze and Rubypaw," she called.

"Pebblecreek and Mistpaw," Pebblecreek mewed.

Everclear called out to the warriors. "All warriors without apprentices, please meet me by the entrance!"

Lol Lightning has a mate and 4 kits, one of whom is an apprentice lol but there can be complications if u want....

OOC-Tiger, there is no Everclear in this clan, silly. That reminds me...anyway, I was talking about Ever on the Roleplay guild and how you have an Ever in Twilight that is to be the leader. So I think you should move Everclear over there, since she won't become leader for some time in Moonclan

There is. I have two evers, everclear, a moonclan warrior, and evernight, a twilightclan deputy i think. Everclear is here, she is none of
fallenstars best friends, and shes very battle-worn.

ooc: Ocean's trying to say that if you keep the Ever here, Everclear, than she probably won't become leader. But the Ever in TwilightClan will.

ic: "What will we do now, Pearlblaze?" Rubypaw asked, bouncing around in excitement. Pearlblaze wondered if it was okay to be mentoring her own niece. She replied, "I don't know yet. Fallenstar will announce it when everyone else is here."

Pebblecreek looked around for Mistpaw.....

Lightningclaw walked over towards Everclear at the entrance, limping slightly.

Pearldapple gazed adoringly at her oldest daughter, who was wanting to become a medicine cat. Then she shook herself back to reality, and looked at her two sons. "Okay," she said. "The first kit to run to the freshkill pile, grab a mouse and run back here is the winner!" Swiftkit and Amberkit looked at each other and sprinted off.

ooc: Umm, shouldn't Windpaw, Phoenixpaw, and Wolfpaw be made into Windsong, Phoenixblaze, and Wolfsong by now?
ic: Glowheart gently nudged Brightkit, who's mouth was still open. "If you go into the medicine cat den like that, you'll probably smell bad," she purred. To Rosefeather, she gently mewed, "Sorry about that. Don't worry, you already know the basics." Now adressing both of them, she said, "Most of the herbs you'll need are going to be cobwebs, horsetail, and marigold. Horsetail and marigold are good for infections, and cobwebs are good for stopping bleeding." She took out a glob of cobwebs and showed Rosefeather and Brightkit how to gently but firmly apply cobweb to a bleeding wound.

Rosefeather nodded vigorously the whole time Glowheart showed the two apprentices stuff about herbs. She loved learning about the herbs and the sight of all the different kinds in the medicine cat den.

ooc: I don't know, has it been a month since they became apprentices?

Fallenstar will do the ceremony after the Master training lesson. And I know Evernight will be a leader, but i still want to play both cats. is that okay?

ic: As partners began to gather Fallenstar called to the crowd, "Will a warrior come up here to demonstrate how to defend yourself from a cat who is attacking from behind?" She said, tail waving back and forth as she calculated her plans.

Everclear smiled at Lightningclaw and shook her long, silver fur.

OOC-Everclear can't be the deputy since Harvestmoon is the other deputy besides Pebblecreek!

IC-Lunapaw ran over to her mom. In all the excitement that was happening she forgot all about being an apprentice!

Mmk she's Fallenstar's sister then. and complications? me like so how about lightning falls for ever and then his mate gets pissed at ever? and Ever ends up with a secret mate.. a rogue! D: so she brings her kit into the clan, Secretkit (future: Secretfall)

Fallenstar leaned down to her daughter. "Go find your mentor, I'm about to begin." She meowed quietly.

Brightkit nodded, but not as vigorously as Rosefeather (LOL). She sniffed each of the herbs to learn the scents.

Lightningclaw tried not to stare as Everclear, and shivered in his long, storm-gray fur, which set the lightning-slash down his flank quivering.

Swiftkit and Amberkit were neck and neck, racing towards the fresh-kill pile. Amberkit slipped on a trailing tree root, and fell sprawling to the ground. She got up and limped towards her mother, her front-left foreleg lifted from the ground.

Everclear met Lightningclaw's gaze and smiled, her clear, glassy bluegray eyes brightening.

Nova- chatbox please??

Lightningclaw's pelt grew prickly under Everclear's gaze, so he said "What were we needed for again?"

ooc: kk, I'll wait then.
ic: Eaglescar and Phoenixpaw started over to Everclear. Wolfpaw was looking confused. He raced over to Everclear. "Umm, my mentor...is on the...umm...that is..." he muttered.
ooc: His mentor is on the evil side.
ic: Windpaw lay a tail on Wolfpaw's shoulder comfortingly. "His mentor's on Aquafur's side," she quietly mewed.

OOC-Wow, Fallen's family is HUGE...lol soon they will control the entire clan! MWUHAHAHAHA!

Everclear turned to the gathered warriors. "Lighningclaw, eill you organize the hunting and patrols..? I'll be awolfpaw's temporary mentor." She smiled at wolfpaw.

ic: Rosefeather wondered what else Glowheart would teach her and Brightkit. Her eyes misted over as she thought of learning all the herbs in the medicine cat's den, like what that fleshy green leaf did or that flower.....but she didn't think she would be allowed to continue as medicine cat after the war, so the warrior-turned healer contented herself with the useful-est herbs that she knew already.

Pearlblaze, Rubypaw, and Pebblecreek waited for Fallenstar to start the training session.
